This site is free to read and costs money to run. This page explains exactly how it is funded, because you are entitled to know what commercial interest sits behind a recommendation before you act on it.
Two sources, both disclosed here:
We do not run sponsored posts, paid guest posts, paid link insertions or paid reviews, and we do not sell links to other websites.
Nothing. The commission is paid by the retailer out of their own margin, and the price you pay is the same as it would be if you had gone to the site directly. If a link ever did cost you more, we would not use it.
Occasionally a hotel, operator or manufacturer provides a stay, a place on a tour or a piece of equipment free or at a discount. When that has happened, it is disclosed at the top of the article concerned, not buried at the bottom.
Accepting hospitality is never conditional on a favourable write-up, and we say so in writing before accepting. If the experience was poor, that is what gets published.
[LIST THE AFFILIATE PROGRAMMES YOU ACTUALLY JOIN HERE.] Several programmes require specific disclosure wording as a condition of membership — for example, Amazon's Associates Programme requires a particular statement identifying you as a participant. Add the exact wording each programme mandates before you publish, and remove any programme you are not in.
Display advertising on this site is served programmatically. Neither we nor the advertisers control which ads appear beside which article, and no advertiser has any influence over editorial content. Advertising cookies load only where you have consented to them; if you decline, ads may still appear but will be non-personalised.
If you want to know whether a particular link is an affiliate link, or how any recommendation on this site came about, write to hello@yourdomain.com and you will get a straight answer.
